Save the Date Wording

Sending save the dates is the single best decision you could make for ensuring a great turnout at your wedding. Plus, save the dates are easy! You only need to know a few details before sending them to the people you want most to attend. What are those details? We’ve gathered a few examples of save the date wording we think will be helpful for choosing your own.

  • Your save the date cards MUST have these 3 details:
  • 1. your names (first and last)
  • 2. the wedding date
  • 3. a mention that a formal invitation will follow
  • Consider adding these 5 additional details to your save the date wording:
  • 1. the wedding location (this is a MUST if you’re having a destination wedding)
  • 2. a fun line of welcome wording if it’s not included in the save the date design
  • 3. an engagement shot on photo save the dates
  • 4. your (or Mom’s or the host’s) phone number or email if anyone has questions
  • 5. a link to your wedding website for more information
