How to Assemble 3 for 1 Wedding Invitations

What's Special About 3 for 1's?

3 for 1 wedding invitations include everything you need! You get the invitation with inner and outer envelope, response card with envelope and the reception card for one low price. We're just here to help you get them assembled and sent out to your friends and family.

How do I get Started?

Your 3 for 1 wedding invitation will come as one flat sheet with perforated edges so you can easily separate the invitation, response card and reception card. You will also receive response card envelopes and inner and outer envelopes for the invitations. Why two envelopes for the invite? Read, Inner and Outer Envelopes Explanation and Etiquette. We suggest addressing all envelopes before performing the steps listed below.

Step 1: Separate the Invitation

Bend the invitation back and forth along the perforated edge until it easily separates from the response and reception cards.

Step 2: Separate Enclosure Cards

Bend the reception card back and forth until it easily separates from the response card.

Step 3: Apply Postage to Response Envelopes

Providing postage for all response cards is customary. Guests appreciate the gesture and you will appreciate more timely responses.

Step 4: Prepare Pieces for Assembly

Lay all three pieces out on the table (wording sides up). Have the response card envelopes and invitation envelopes out and ready.

Step 5: Assemble the Invitation Ensemble

Lay your wedding invitation down with the wording facing up. Place the reception card, wording side up, on top of the invitation. Place the response card, wording side up, beneath the flap of the response envelope but not inside of the envelope. Place the pair on top of the reception card. Follow suit with other enclosures like map and accommodations cards.

Step 6: Stuff the Inner Envelopes

Take the entire invitation ensemble with the wording facing up and stuff it inside the invitation's inner envelope. The top of the response card envelope should align with the top of the inner envelope.

Step 7: Stuff the Outer Envelopes

Now place the inner envelope inside the outer mailing envelope with the tops of both envelopes aligning and both envelope flaps facing forward.

Step 8: Seal and Send

We suggest using an envelope moistener to seal all of the envelopes and you're ready to send.
