Start With: A Memorable Invitation
This enchanting look has fairy tale undertones, but the main focus in on total elegance. The invitation we chose to accompany the look is the Luminous Filigree laser-cut wedding invitation.
This invitation is, in a word – breathtaking. The outer layer is a folded, laser-cut piece with embossed filigree details. And yes, it shimmers…just like every wedding invitation should! The inner piece is stamped in custom stamped in glowing foil. No joke, this invitation is enough to make you weak in the knees.
A Neutral, Beautiful Color Palette
A soft and neutral color palette is key to pulling together a wedding day look as elegant as this. Use shades of cream, champagne and a hint of soft blush from start to finish.
Choose an ivory wedding gown and dress your bridesmaid in champagne or light blush to set them apart just a hint. For your groom and his guys, a classic black tux is a must.
To really nail an over-the-top elegant look, focus on florals. Ask your florist about using several varieties of cream-colored roses. If you’re more of a DIY-er, you can totally pull this off too. Simply order bunches of cream roses from a wholesale floral site. Be sure to have them delivered at least 5 days before the wedding to let them open up nice and full.
At your reception site, creating a romantic setting is easier than you think. A professional decorator can drape the ceiling in cream organza, fairy lights and even chandeliers to create instant ambience and take practically any space from cold to warm and glowing. Work with your venue to choose floor length cream linens, then add candles and flower galore!
Take inspiration from those beautiful embossed and laser-cut details on your wedding invite, and carry through your entire day to create a harmonious look.
- Shoes: Choose a pair of shoes with that little something extra. Vintage-inspired heels often have filigree and damask details adorned with rhinestones.
- Cake: Bring a sample of your wedding invitation to your baker and ask them to replicate the filigree detail in frosting. The result will be almost too beautiful to cut into.
- Hair: Tuck a filigree-detailed hair piece into your, or your bridesmaid’s, hair for an instantly elegant upgrade.
