Greenery shines in its own beautifully natural way but we wanted to add a little bit of sparkle to this trending wedding look. Although we brought in some glamorous touches, you’ll notice that they are subtle and that greenery is still the star of the show.
Eucalyptus Magnificus
Yes, we just made up our own word to describe this absolutely lovely plant! Eucalyptus has long been associated with holiday floral arrangements and decorations due to its delightful smell but the rounded shape of its leaves and the whimsical way they drape lend incredibly well to weddings at any time of year.
We took a look at our collection of greenery wedding invitations and were immediately drawn to the Sparkling Greenery Foil Wedding Invitation, hence the theme of this week’s Style Story.
Let me count the ways…
Since greenery is so neutral and naturally beautiful, you can highlight it in so many ways. In this style story, the greenery is used on the ceremony trellis, the bride’s hairpiece, in the bridal party bouquets, as ceremony decorations, on the reception tables and even as artwork on the wedding cake. You really can’t use too much greenery unless you’re unintentionally approaching jungle status, then you might need to cut back!
The sparkle!
The real foil accents on the wedding invitations are the perfect introduction to this wedding look, and then we just sprinkled that sparkle throughout! The cake’s serving plate, the gold serving pieces on reception tables and the shimmering beadwork on the bridesmaids’ dresses. The sparkle is subtle so as not to overpower the greenery but that means you can get creative with it and place it intentionally throughout your wedding.
