How we worked it!
We chose the Layers of Luxury Invitation, which you’ll find in our collection of elegant wedding invitations here at Invitations by Dawn. This invitation is gor-ge-ous.
The layout of the wording on this invitation is designed to complement the glitter band and monogrammed tag that accompany it. Take this as a blessing! Simply update the text to fit your details, and you’re set. The lightly textured cream paper is thick and feels luxurious, which is exactly the style you want when choosing a wedding palette this elegant. This invite has major wow factor all on its own, but if you want to make a serious statement, splurge on the matching gold glitter envelope liner. It takes this invitation suite from beautiful to breath-taking.
Working it into your wedding:
Every wedding palette needs a neutral color to make your accent colors pop. We chose cream which creates a look that’s rich and elegant. For glam and modern look, choose white. Now, paint your day with your neutral. Think chairs, linens and flowers. And, of course, your dress!
Next, add in the black. Even a touch of black makes a big statement, so be thoughtful about where you choose to use it. Start with your groom and groomsmen. Black tuxes or suits are a no-brainer. Unexpected details like a black aisle runner or shining black classic car for your get-away will add major style to your day.
We have a saying around here: Gold is bold. Do not paint your entire reception venue in gold but don’t be afraid of it either! Key piece to consider styling in gold: bridesmaid dresses (think sequins!), details on your dress, reception flatware, plate chargers and votive holders. Mix shiny gold foil and sparkly gold glitter to add contrast and depth.
