Tropical island weddings are filled with romance but we wanted to bring a retro twist to this destination wedding style story. Think Casablanca meets Moana and just imagine the possibilities.

Style Story: Island Romance

Passion for Pink
The flowers, the sunsets, the fashion. The color pink and its many different shades are just a part of Island living, and we love it. We’re not suggesting you color your entire wedding pink; you might lean more toward coral, blue or purple. However, we thought stunning shades of pink paired with island greenery created just the right contrast. We started the look with destination wedding invitations featuring towering palm trees in bright fuchsia foil to really grab some attention. The Malibu I Do Wedding Invitations are available in four foil colors so you can pick the one that suits your destination wedding style best.

Island Greenery
Part of what makes island life so beautiful is the lush vegetation and greenery everywhere you turn. We couldn’t imagine creating this style story without using greenery as a focal point throughout. The large leaf program and small leaf place cards are absolutely genius. We even found super cute bridesmaid dresses with a palm leaf pattern along the skirts. Get that groom involved with a special garland of greenery and tropical flowers, which can be hung anywhere after the ceremony as decoration.

Touch of Gold
Pink and green are a fabulous color combination but we wanted to break it up a bit with touches of earthy gold. Notice the gold chargers on top of natural woven place mats—so pretty! The gold painted pineapple is a great piece of décor for your reception tables. Of course, a gold paint pen works beautifully for writing names and other wording on a variety of tropical leaves. We bet your wheels are spinning with ideas now!
