The story of Cinderella remains a true classic even with all the Disney princesses brought to life over Disney’s many years of film animation. If you feel most inspired by Cinderella, then your wedding will undoubtedly be an elegant affair with a touch of magical charm. We’ve put together our own version of what a modern day Cinderella wedding could look like so you can be inspired and start planning your own happily ever after.

Style Story: Cinderella

The Color of Love
Light blue is an iconic color in the story of Cinderella and it’s an absolutely gorgeous color for your wedding. This shade of blue has an ethereal quality that will lend a light and airy ambiance to your ceremony and reception. The color is first showcased in Disney’s Classic Charm Wedding Invitation inspired by Cinderella. We chose this invitation for its perfect color and intricate embossing. Not quite your style? Shop the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Collection and find other Cinderella-inspired designs. This light blue hue doesn’t stop at the invitation. We believe it should be incorporated throughout the wedding from the bridal party attire to the reception table linens.

The Color of Innocence
The innocence of Cinderella is an endearing part of her story, and the color white embodies that innocence beautifully. We love the white drapery shown in the reception image here as well as the many white flowers arranged on the reception tables and as a part of the bridal party’s bouquets. White paired with the classic light blue Cinderella is known for softens up the look even more, creating an almost magical feel.

Sparkle and Shine
A princess-inspired wedding theme, no matter which princess you love, practically demands a little sparkle and shine. We included a few décor items in rich gold to complement the theme and bring in elements of the “royal ball.” Our favorite sparkling detail has to be the adorable cupcakes with blue glitter hearts and white fondant flowers. However, we do recommend avoiding lots of bling. If you’re truly aiming for a Cinderella look, a little too much glamour could throw off the magical and charming ambiance you’re trying to achieve.
