Yes, we are totally geeking out right now! Why? Because we just realized that Star Wars VII opens in theaters at the end of this year. That’s only months away! We know Star Wars fans are already planning for this stellar occasion, so we threw together a Wedding Style Story in honor of the film.

Wedding Invitations: Star Wars Wedding Inspiration

Find the right balance…

Okay, so choosing Star Wars as your wedding theme is nerdy but you probably love that about the idea, which means you’re willing to do some pretty awesome and totally untraditional stuff. We’re all for it! But we think you can still find a good balance between romantic and fanatic.

For example, the Star Gazer wedding invitation fits your theme perfectly while remaining a beautiful wedding invitation. Personalize your invitations with wording that hints at your Star Wars wedding theme. Perhaps “the force is strong with us” would fit nicely below your names.

Let guests be star struck!

Stars are a gorgeous way to incorporate Star Wars into your wedding decorations while still keeping an incredibly elegant feel. You can do so much with the star motif! Create paper stars garland like you see here or add a star design to wedding napkins and favor boxes. Create a starry sky backdrop for your photo booth area or add star decorations to your wedding cake (then top it off with something amazing like the Imperial Walkers shown here).

Go crazy with the details…

A walk down the aisle lit with light sabers? Yes, please! Yoda cookies for dessert? Definitely. Darth Vader cuff links for the groom? You get the idea. Your Star Wars wedding should be filled with lots of fun details that will make your wedding guests stop and take a closer look.

One of our favorite parts of this style story is the suspended wedding favor. They used a clear plastic tube to hold the chocolate, and then placed it inside clear favor boxes. You can find the clear favor boxes to make your own version of these from our friends at Ann’s Bridal Bargains.
