Set the tone with wedding invitations
While your save the dates don’t necessarily have to show off your wedding theme, your invites should! This Lovable Roses – Gold – Invitation looks eerily similar to Whitney Port’s menu cards. Your names are elegantly written in beautiful script and surrounded with a wreath of purple and pink roses. The kraft-colored background offers the perfect rustic touch. The back of your invitation is covered with the blooms found on the front for a wonderfully put-together invitation.
Create your dream bridal ensemble
Bohemian dresses are the opposite of tight and form fitting. Instead, they flow beautifully, giving off a relaxed and effortlessly simple look. Lace and lots of embellished details are commonly found on boho chic gowns. Ashlee Simpson wore an ivory lace crop top and skirt with a high/low hemline for her ceremony. Throughout the lace, you’ll notice some gorgeous hand-beaded pearl detailing.
Pair your dress with some lacy flats, simple white heels or a pair of sandals decorated with pearl and crystal embellishments.
Despite boho chic wedding gowns being simple, the jewelry they’re paired with is usually quite the opposite, offering a balanced combination of rustic and glam. Vintage statement necklaces or feather earrings are two popular accessories among bohemian brides. Necklaces, bracelets and earrings are a great opportunity to introduce a splash of color into your ensemble.
Select the perfect hairstyle
Boho chic hairstyles are as relaxed as the decor and wedding gown. Think loose waves complete with a crown of bright flowers or a sparkling, embellished headband sitting across your forehead, transforming you into a natural goddess. For something even more simple, add a feathered barrette to the side of your locks.
Dress up your bohemian bridesmaids
Your bridesmaids should also be donning dresses that have a flowing, whimsical effect. Try mixing and matching styles and shades from the same color family for an eclectic wedding party.
Put together beautiful bouquets
Bohemian bouquets should look as if you gathered the blooms directly from a garden or field. Pair wildflowers with leaves, greenery, baby’s breath, peonies, ranunculus – pretty much whatever combination you can dream up. Boho arrangements typically included a whole range of different colors and styles of blooms. Feel free to incorporate any other elements like twigs, berries and feathers to bring texture and character to your bouquet.
Arrange similar flowers for your bridesmaids or reception tables to keep the natural ambiance flowing throughout your ceremony and reception.
Craft your dessert
If you’re opting for the traditional tiered confection for your nuptials, keep your creation simple. You can start with a base of white buttercream or fondant and dress up each tier with fresh flowers or other elements from nature, like bright berries or twigs.
