There’s really nothing not to like about tying the knot in the fall. The scenery is unforgettable, with gold, orange and red leaves falling from the trees and a crisp breeze blowing through the air. Autumn creates an ambiance that’s truly perfect for romance. If you’re looking for some inspiration for your fall wedding, I have a few seasonal ideas right here:

Send out letterpress invitations
Fall often brings a cozy, warm feeling with it, and this Contemporary Autumn – Letterpress Invitation evokes that comfortable ambiance. Letterpress stationery is made up of signature cotton paper and is soft to the touch. Golden leaves trickle down the left side of the stationary. The structured frame around your wording provides a modern touch to your fall nuptials.

Choose jewel-toned dresses
Have you found the perfect dresses for your bridesmaids yet? If not, consider beautiful jewel-toned gowns. Darker colors like deep navy, eggplant or gray are perfect shades for fall. Feel free to contrast the dresses with bouquets boasting vibrant flowers that stand out from the gowns.

Take advantage of fall scenery
Mother Nature offers the most beautiful decor of all: golden leaves and orange sunsets. Even if you’re not having your autumn wedding outside, you can still talk to your photographer and have them snap a few photos of you and your new spouse outdoors. You can also bring fall indoors, filling tall glass vases with fresh leaves and bare branches. Place lots of votive candles around the vases to create a warm ambiance.

Incorporate tastes of the season
You can’t go anywhere during fall without hearing something about pumpkin. Integrate this fall flavor into any part of your menu, whether it’s a pumpkin soup, pumpkin-flavored beer or a pumpkin spice latte bar (yum).

Offer fall-inspired signature cocktails
Alongside beer and wine, consider serving your guests a drink that reflects the warmth of autumn. Offer hot apple cider, pomegranate Champagne or cranberry cosmos. These libations match the colors of fall and provide a hint of sweetness that will warm your guests.

Adorn your cake with apples
Not sure how to dress up your cake? Consider using the fruits of the fall season to give your dessert some color and texture. A white tiered cake, for instance, can be dressed up with groupings of whole apples sitting on each tier. The bright red hue and the white frosting are a match made in heaven. Martha Stewart recommends pairing your apple decor with a white-chocolate maple frosting.
