Belle, of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast,” was the first princess to teach us that looks don’t matter – it’s what’s on the inside that counts. OK, maybe the beast taught us that. Either way, this beautiful princess was the star of a love story that women still melt over today. If you love this book-enthused Disney girl as much as I do and want to fit her into your big day, here are a few wedding ideas just for you:
Princess-inspired wedding invitations
You can’t have a Disney wedding without the right princess invitations. This Disney – Love’s Transformation Invitation – Belle, matches the shade of Belle’s jaw-dropping gold ballgown that she wore at the end of the movie. On top of your invitations sits a sheer embossed wrap for a touch of elegance and sophistication.
Put a ring on it
If you haven’t already checked out these Disney engagement rings from Gemvara, take a few moments to do so. It’s amazing how well the rings reflect the personality of each princess. The Belle-inspired gold engagement ring features a yellow diamond surrounded by a halo of smaller blue gems. The band is complete with ornate detailing and even more sparkle thanks to some pink gemstones. The inside of the band is my favorite – it reads “Tale as old as time…”
A gown for the books
When you make your grand entrance down the aisle, all eyes will be on you … and your gown. Channel your inner Belle with this gorgeous strapless number. Disney’s 2014 Bridal Gown Collection puts a modern spin on all of the princess’s dresses from the movies. This gown’s sweetheart neckline is embellished with plenty of sparkling crystals and gemstones.
A note from your guests
One of the catchiest songs from “Beauty and the Beast” is “Be Our Guest” (it’s probably getting stuck in your head as we speak). It turns out, the title of this song is perfect for one of your wedding elements: the guest book! This “Be Our Guest” book offers the perfect on-theme way for your loved ones to leave their well wishes.
A touch of gold
You may not be walking down the aisle in a gold wedding dress, but that doesn’t mean you can’t integrate the hue in other ways. Walk down the aisle in pretty gold slingbacks adorned with a delicate bow on the top. Check out this blog all about Disney-inspired fashion!
Iconic rose centerpiece
Remember the beautiful rose that was encased in a glass display? It may have been forbidden for Belle to touch, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have it at your wedding reception! A rose surrounded by glass would make for the perfect centerpiece – simple, yet elegant.
