Some of the best gifts are the ones that you’ve made yourself. Instead of splurging on wedding favors, consider going the DIY route. Don’t worry – even if you’re not a crafty person, I’m confident you can pull any of these off:

Baked goods
Do you love to bake? If so, put those skills to the test to create sweet wedding favors for your guests. Choose a favorite dessert of yours, like cookies, macarons, cupcakes or cake pops, and make them special for your nuptials. These treats can be wrapped up in colorful boxes and tied up with ribbon for a tasty and creative favor.

Potted plants
Help your wedding guests go green by having them take home some potted plants. You can even use those plants as wedding decorations, like centerpieces for your reception tables, and invite your guests to grab one before they head out. That way there’s less cleanup!

Soap
Give your loved ones a favor they will use, like soap! Soap is actually super easy to make, and you can create a variety of scents, like lavender, honey and lemongrass. Wrap the soap with some burlap and attach a quick thank-you note.

Hot cocoa mix
If you’re having a wedding in the fall or winter, hot cocoa mix will be a gift that all of your guests will appreciate. Fill a cone-shaped cellophane bag with layers of cocoa mix, mini chocolate chips and mini marshmallows. You can even choose to give them a wedding-themed mug along with the mix.

Homemade jam
Have a family recipe for jam that your friends and family can’t get enough of? Then fill tiny canning jars with that fresh homemade jam that your guests can use for breakfast or brunch. Use colorful ribbon that matches your wedding palette to decorate the jars and attach a note saying thank you!
