While researching for the original post, I realized there are simply too many movies, TV shows and songs with perfect wedding quotes for just one post. Plus, reading these quotes is the a wonderful break from figuring out wedding decorations and making arrangements with the florist. Consider any of these love quotes for your big day:
Even if you don’t watch “The Office,” you can fully appreciate the love Jim and Pam have for one another in this quote from the pair’s rehearsal dinner:
“I was just a guy who had a crush on a girl, who had a boyfriend. And I had to do the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to do, which was just to wait … A lot of people told me I was crazy to wait this long for a date with a girl I work with but I think, even then I knew that I was waiting for my wife.” – Jim, “The Office”
But wait, we’re not done. Jim really has too many good romantic quotes up his sleeve for us to pass by:
“There is only one thing that outweighs every other concern. One thing that will make you give up on everything you thought you knew. Every instinct. Every rational calculation. Love.” – Jim, “The Office”
“Overwhelmed” by Tim McMorris
There are a whole lot of mainstream love songs out there, all of which have wonderful messages. But I came across this underrated ballot with a perfectly romantic chorus:
“There’s something in your smile that gives me strength to carry on, and there’s something in your words that lingers even when you’re gone. Oh I’ve dreamt, that a time like this would come, fulfill my life. Who could have known the one who’d bring it here would be my lovely wife.” – Tim McMorris, “Overwhelmed”
It didn’t quite work out between Burke and Christina. However, that doesn’t mean that Burke’s vows to his almost bride weren’t heart-meltingly romantic.
“So this, I am sure. You are my partner, my lover, my very best friend. My heart beats for you … I promise you this. I promise you to lay my heart in the palm of your hands. I promise you me.” – Burke, “Grey’s Anatomy”
“Fearless” by Taylor Swift
Alright, don’t think that we would forget about the queen of love songs, Taylor Swift. She may be young, but her lyrics are perfect for couples of all ages. One of my favorites is her single “Fearless.” The powerful words speak for themselves:
“And I don’t know how it gets better than this, you take my hand and drag me headfirst, fearless. And I don’t know why but with you I’d dance in a storm in my best dress, fearless.” – Taylor Swift, “Fearless”
