Now that you’ve picked the perfect wedding invitations, it’s time to decide on a processional song. “Canon in D” by Johann Pachelbel, “Bridal Chorus” by Richard Wagner, “Wedding March” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – what do all of these have in common? Well, one of these tunes is likely the first one that pops into your head when someone mentions the bridal processional. These songs are considered traditional, and are beautiful songs to make your grand entrance to.  But if you’re not feeling the beat of any of these songs, consider a more unique and out-of-the-box alternative.

“Bittersweet Symphony” by The Verve
Who says you can’t make your grand entrance to a song with lyrics? This is a fun twist on the typical processional song. It has such a positive and inspirational spin on it, and will give you the confidence you need to make it to the end of that aisle. Plus, it has a pretty catchy beat.

“Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Ingrid Michaelson
Sorry Elvis, but I think I love Ingrid Michaelson’s take on your classic song more than the original. Walk down the aisle to this song and you’ll feel as if you’re the main character in the ultimate romantic movie. Your guests are sure to shed a happy tear or two as they watch you make your way toward your future.

“Reign of Love” by Coldplay
There’s something so serene and uplifting about Coldplay’s music – especially with this song. It’s like it was made for a wedding. It starts off slow and soft, with a few simple piano chords. Then enters Chris Martin’s angelic voice.

“To Build A Home” by The Cinematic Orchestra
This has a start similar to the Coldplay tune, but then begins to pick up after a minute or two. The lyrics of this song are so romantic and absolutely fitting for your new life together. “And I built a home for you and me.”
