This State Your Love – Invitation shows how the love you have for each other has stayed strong despite the physical space between you two. Choose the two states that you both lived in during your relationship. These states are featured at the top of your invitation with a heart bringing the two together. In the corners you’ll find tiny white hearts for a chic border.
The bride and groom chairs
Make it known where you and your other half are sitting at the reception with designated signs hanging on the backs of the chairs. But instead of a normal sign, hang license plates from each of your home states that say “bride” and “groom.”
Take a look at the adorable cake on our style board. It has a simple white fondant frosting with two planes flying from tier to tier. Top your sweet confection with an arrangement of white blooms to finish it off.
Before your photo shoot with your photographer, it’s best to write down a list of pictures you would like taken of you and your new spouse. Don’t forget to include this adorable photo idea: Get close with your other half as you both look into each other’s eyes grasping a sign that reads “Distance makes the heart grow fonder.” It shows that you not only conquered the distance, but it helped you both mature as a couple.
Take a map of your home state and of your spouse’s home state and have them transformed into paper flowers. This way, you’ll be carrying both states with you down the aisle, which can add a romantic touch to your ceremony. You can intertwine the paper flowers with fresh-cut flowers or opt for a bouquet of only paper.
Instead of the traditional guest book, set out a globe (or two) depending on how many guests are attending your wedding. Leave a few markers so that your loved ones can leave their well wishes and congratulations right on the surface of the globe. After your big day, take it home and display it on your fireplace mantel or coffee table for a decorative conversation piece.
