A pretty bathroom
When you’re getting married, we understand that the bathrooms at your reception are likely the last thing that you’re thinking about. But continuing your wedding theme into the bathroom is actually a very underrated and overlooked detail. This bride used a bit of black material and red flowers to really bring a touch of romance to the room.
Skip the bartender and save yourself some cash by using a DIY watercooler bar. Fill it with anything from soda pop to beer to cocktails. You can even attach fun labels so that each guest knows exactly what they’re filling their cup with.
Instead of hiring a videographer (or in addition to it) you can consider having your loved ones pass around flip cams during the big day. They may be able to capture some fun footage that your videographer didn’t. When the big day is over, get everyone’s film edited into one final video by Wedit.
Something special for the flower girl
Before you slip on the dress of your dreams, hand it over to one of the cutest members of your bridal party – your flower girl. Snap a photo of her wearing your gown, then give the image to her in a beautiful frame once it’s her turn to walk down the aisle as a bride. She’ll love that you thought of her on your big day.
Style your aisle
Instead of a traditional aisle runner, consider a design of flowers arranged in an intricate pattern. You could also line the aisle with candles, fruit, garland or ribbon.
A surprise dance
When all eyes are on you and your new spouse during your first dance, surprise your loved ones with something they will never expect. Start out with a slow dance to get in some romance time with your better half, then suddenly switch to an upbeat and fast-paced jazzy swing step or a favorite dance tune. It will certainly put your guests in party mode.
Interactive food station
Wouldn’t it be great if everyone got the food they wanted for your big day? Wait a second … they can! With an interactive food station, your guests can eat whatever they please, however they please. Try a risotto station, a pasta bar, a taco bar or even a grilled cheese station where your loved ones can choose their own toppings and sauces to make the food their own.
