Do watch your salt intake. If you keep your salt shaker on the dinner table, you’d be surprised as to how second nature it is to reach for it and salt your food, even when your meal doesn’t necessarily need it. Try to keep your sodium intake under 800 milligrams per day to eliminate any bloating. Instead, use other flavorings like lemon to give your food that extra boost of taste.
Don’t drink too much alcohol. This obviously doesn’t apply to your bachelorette party, but other than that, stay away from the alcoholic beverages. Drinking too much can dehydrate your body, which negatively affects your skin, hair and nails. Not to mention that it can really pack on the calories. Instead, consume lots of liquids like water and tea.
Do choose an appropriate time. These times of the day may be few and far between, but try to choose a part of the day when you usually feel motivated and energetic. This way, you’ll be more likely to stick with the exercise routine. So if you’re not a morning person, don’t force yourself to workout at dawn. Simply choose a different time that works better for you.
Don’t go crazy. You don’t want to end up pulling a hamstring a week before your wedding day. Just take it easy – you don’t have to workout like crazy. A mere 20 minutes of exercise per day can work wonders to boost your energy and help kick-start the calorie burning process. It could be walking your dog, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or choosing the farthest parking spot from the mall.
Do take care of last minute beauty needs. This could include anything from a spray tan or waxing to a relaxing face mask.
Don’t try out a spray tan for the first time. If you want a subtle glow for your wedding day, that’s great! But I don’t recommend trying a spray tan a week before your big day if you’re a first timer. Once that tan is on your skin, it’s going to take awhile to get back to your normal skin tone.
