A rich color scheme
If you wish to evoke the feel of winter, the colors you use throughout the event can make all the difference. Stick to whites, crystals, silvers, golds and accents of blue. Even without bright colors, you can still make a dramatic and elegant statement.
There are so many wintry goods that you can choose from for your dessert table spread. Decorate cakes, cupcakes and cookies with blue and white icing. I love these adorable cake pops with snowflakes drawn on in icing and a shimmering white bow to finish them off. If you’re a fan of hot chocolate (let’s be honest, who isn’t?) try out these delicious hot chocolate cupcakes, which are sure to be a hit.
Decorate with holiday lights
Illuminate your wedding shower with twinkling lights to create an intimate, cozy and comfortable space. Unlike other lighting options, these don’t give off a harsh brightness, and instead offer a subtle amount of light that is just right.
Warm up your guests with holiday drinks like apple cider, tea or coffee. You can also opt to have a hot chocolate bar, where everyone can make this winter favorite exactly the way they like it. Offer fun add-ins like tiny marshmallows, cinnamon sticks, peppermint sticks, shaved chocolate pieces and whipped cream.
Glitter, glitter and more glitter
A winter theme means bringing in decor elements that sparkle, much like the fresh snow falling on the ground. Head to the dollar store to buy fake apples, pears or pinecones, and dip them in glitter to fill a holiday vase for a simple table centerpiece. You can also use nature’s beauty for an easy focal point. Gather some bare branches, cover them in sparkle spray paint and put them in a vase for an awe-inspiring decor piece.
Wrap your candles
Having plenty of candles is a must for a winter bridal shower. Take their beauty up a notch by wrapping them in lace. It can produce a detailed shadow for your table and creates visual interest. Use all different types of lace for a contrasting focal point.
