How about a little liquid courage before taking the plunge? Now, don’t get overboard on this one. I’m sure your bride would like you and your groomsmen to be coherent for the ceremony. One or two celebratory shots should do the trick.
With that being said, water is another essential to have on your list. You’ll want to stay nice and hydrated (especially if you’ll be drinking later). This is important if you’re planning on tying the knot during the heat of summer. A combination of nerves, excitement, alcohol and dancing the night away could lead to dehydration. Fill up on plenty of H2O beforehand.
Is there ever not a time for snacks? I don’t think so. Plus, you don’t want to be standing up at the altar with your stomach growling. Pretzels are great for snacking on, as well as nuts, sunflower seeds, mixed fruit and veggies, popcorn and baked potato chips.
Gum or mints
If you’re going to be kissing your bride in just a few short hours, it’s important to have fresh breath. The same goes for your guys. Offer gum or mints to your groomsmen so the ladies they talk to throughout the big event aren’t offended. Have your best man keep them in his pockets in case they’re needed later.
If you have a hair sticking up or out of place, it’s good to have a bit of hair product to keep your mane looking tame. You’ll be admiring these wedding photos for the rest of your life, so take that extra five minutes to make sure everything’s in place.
A lint roller
Lint is going to stand out whether you’re sporting a grey, black, beige or white suit. In order to keep your outfit fresh and clean, bring along a lint roller for any last-minute touch ups.
When you raise up an arm to fist pump after marrying your better half, you don’t want your guests to fall down due to the smell coming from your armpits. Come to the ceremony prepared with plenty of deodorant so you’ll smell just perfect for your bride.
