A sporting stadium
Go where your passion takes you. If you and your future spouse are in love with a certain baseball, basketball, football or hockey team, why not consider tying the knot right in the stadium? Maybe the two of you met and fell in love in college, so you want to go back to the football field where the two of you spent so much time together cheering on your team.
On a boat
Imagine saying “I do” with the beautiful ocean surrounding you, a light breeze and your closest friends and family. Sold yet? Whether it’s a yacht or a smaller vessel like a sailboat, getting married on the water is ultra romantic (just don’t fall in). Nautical brides are loving this idea and dress their bridal party in sea-like attire with blue blazers and khaki pants for the men and navy dresses for the women.
On a dock
If you want to be near the water, but don’t necessarily want to get married on a boat, a dock by the water is the perfect alternative. You still get gorgeous pictures of the water at sunset, but you can keep your feet on land.
Marry where you met
Did the two of you meet at a bar? At the grocery store? During class? Wherever the two of you first laid eyes, consider hosting the ceremony there for a romantic blast from the past. Bride Shirley Stewart and Berkeley Smith met in the frame department of a New Jersey IKEA and decided that’s where they wanted to tie the knot. It may not be traditional, but if it’s special to you, that’s all that matters.
If the two of you are crazy about the sea, how about getting married in it with only the fishes as your witness? Saying “I do” underwater might be a challenge, but it’s an experience you’ll remember forever.
In the rainforest
Exchange vows in the middle of a tropical forest – no need to bring any decorations, the beauty of the forest is all you’ll need. Take photos in front of a waterfall, with lush flowers or wildlife for a truly unique wedding.
