Give the gift of jewelry
What mom wouldn’t love to get some new jewelry? Better yet, present her with jewelry that both of you can enjoy, like this beautiful mother-daughter necklace found on Etsy. This will remind her of the special day when you’re off enjoying everyday life with your new spouse!
Treat your mom to hair, makeup, or a manicure (or all three) on the big day to let her know how important she is. After all, you’ll want her to look just as good as you do! (OK, not quite as good, but close). With everything she has supported you with and given you over the years, this is the least you can do. And hey – if she doesn’t like the hairstyle you’ve picked out – at least she won’t be paying for it!
Dance with her
It’s traditional to dance with dad, but who said there can’t be a mother-daughter dance too? Schedule a part of the reception where all the moms can come out and dance with their daughters. A few tear-jerking songs include “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack and “Somebody’s Hero” by Jamie O’Neal.
Bake your way to her heart
Leave her with some sweet treats specially made for her on your big day. Make her favorites (and maybe save a few for yourself).
Make a video slideshow
If you’re planning on having a picture or video slideshow during your reception, have a few photos dedicated to your mother that will leave her laughing and crying. She’ll be touched you thought to include her on a day that’s about you and your spouse-to-be.
Sign up for wine
Provide her with a year’s worth of wine by signing her up for the wine of the month club. This way, she can receive a new wine every month and toast to how awesome of a daughter you are. And if she’s not a wine connoisseur, how about beer? Hey – there’s even a pizza of the month club! (Where do I sign up??)
