Make sure your guests’ luggage doesn’t get lost in the process of traveling by sending them off with luggage tags. It will be the perfect reminder of your wedding every time they travel. You could even opt to personalize the tag with names and an address. Put a funny message on the front like “dirty clothes inside” or “not worth stealing” for a gift everyone will love.
A jar of jam
Send them off with a bit of the local flavor – some sweet jam! Put it in a small jar that guests can easily get onto the airplane and decorate it with some twine and a tag attached with your names and the date of the nuptials.
If you’re tying the knot in an especially sunny location, you might want to think about offering your guests some eye protection. Pick out some stylish sunglasses and lay them out before the ceremony so your friends and family can watch you say “I do” instead of squinting into the sun. Then they can take the glasses home and use them whenever they want!
Personalized lip balm
If you’re like me and lose lip balm about once a day, you know how great it would be to get your very own stick at a wedding. Give your guests the gift of soft lips with a tube of Chapstick that has been personalized just for the occasion.
A tote bag
A bag adorned with your names and the date is perfect for a destination wedding. I’m sure each and every one of your guests will appreciate being sent home with an extra bag to fill. How is it when you travel you always come back with more than you left? It will forever be a mystery.
Depending on your wedding location, send your guests off with a snack that reflects the area in which you married. If you exchanged vows on the beach, saltwater taffy is appropriate, while if you got married in the northeast, sending them off with a small bottle of Vermont maple syrup would be just the thing.
