Most brides take the most time thinking about what song they would like to dance to for the first time with their new spouse. While this is important, there are certainly other wedding moments to think about that could be better with some tunes! After all, who wouldn’t want the perfect soundtrack to accompany the perfect day? Here are some unique song choices that cover everything from walking down the aisle to heading out for the night:

The bridal entrance
This is the moment you’ve been waiting for for a long time, so it has to be perfect. This means choosing a song that is going to best evoke everything you’re feeling at that very moment. Here are my top picks for the processional:

“Reign of Love” by Coldplay
“Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Ingrid Michaelson
“Moth’s Wings” by Passion Pit
“Falling in Love at a Coffeeshop” by Landon Pigg

The first dance
The first dance between you and your spouse should describe your relationship and the feelings you have for one another in that special moment. Check these out:

“Birds of a Feather” by The Civil Wars
“Daydreaming” by Breathe Owl Breathe
“I Will Wait” by Mumford & Sons
“L-O-V-E” by Michael Buble

The mother/son dance
Of course, we can’t forget about the dance between the groom and his mother. Here are some of my favorites, that range from slow and meaningful to upbeat and fun:

“I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack
“My Wish” by Rascal Flatts
“God Only Knows” by The Beach Boys
“Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Sheryl Crow

The father/daughter dance
Show your dad how much he means to you with the perfect song:

“Unforgettable” by Natalie and Nat King Cole
“My Girl” by The Temptations
“There You’ll Be” by Faith Hill
“What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong

Cake cutting
For a sweet moment, you’re going to need a sweet song:

“Sugar, Sugar” by The Archies
“Sweetest Thing” by U2
“I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch)” by The Four Tops
“How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)” by James Taylor

The bouquet toss
The ladies at your wedding will need the right song in order to fight for the bride’s bouquet:

“Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” by Beyonce
“Another One Bites the Dust” by Queen
“Maneater” by Nelly Furtado

The garter toss
Get ready to catch the garter boys! These songs should certainly set the mood:

“Macho Man” by the Village People
“You Shook Me All Night Long” by AC/DC
“Oh Yeah” by Yello
