“Up where they walk, up where they run, up where they stay all day in the sun. Wandering free, wish I could be, part of that world.” Can you guess which Disney princess sang these lines? It’s none other than the undersea goddess from “The Little Mermaid,” Ariel. Her bright red hair was brushed by only the finest of forks (ahem … excuse me – dinglehopper), her fishy friends and her hunk of a husband, Prince Eric, have always been the envy of girls everywhere. But pine over Ariel’s dream life no more, you can have a wedding that will top even Ariel’s nuptials. Here are a few ways to incorporate the undersea princess into your big day:

Dress up your locks
You may not have red hair, but you can dress up your hair to look just like Ariel. With a few of your favorite seashells and pearls, you can have a beachy hairpiece ready to walk down the aisle with.

A gown fit for a mermaid
What would be more perfect for an Ariel-inspired wedding than a mermaid style wedding gown? This beautiful silhouette is close-fitting throughout the bodice to show off your shape and flares out at the mid or lower calf – just like an elegant tail much like a mermaid!

Location
My guess is that if you’re having a wedding themed around Ariel, that you’re opting for beachside nuptials. However, this isn’t the only option! So don’t fear if you live far away from a beach. Tie the knot to your future spouse on a boat, or dress up your location to make it feel like a seaside resort!

Wedding invitations
Give your guests a sneak peak into your amazing wedding theme with the right invitations. This Mermaid Treasures Invitation – Ariel has all of the right blended color elements and is finished off with two beautiful white starfish sitting hand-in-hand.

Seaside cake
There are a wide array of directions you could go with the cake. Stay simple with a design of blue swirls or create a cake embellished with starfish and shells. Whichever way you go, don’t forget to finish your cake off with the perfect cake topper – Ariel and Eric of course!

Beach bouquet
Forget about the flowers for your bouquet – grab some colorful seashells, starfish and pearls for a bouquet that looks like it came straight from the best florist under the sea. Choose different shells to incorporate texture and variety into your bouquet.
