If you’re having more rustic-inspired nuptials, we have the perfect invitations for your big day. This Antique Floral – Invitation truly evokes nature, simplicity and beauty. And with just a touch of twine wrapped around the invite, guests not only receive a little texture to their unique invite, but they get a little taste into what the big day is going to look like. Let’s not forget about the floral detailing, though. How gorgeous is that?
This rustic element wraps perfectly around bouquets as well as reception arrangements to encompass a natural and simple feel. However, your flowers aren’t the only flora that deserve a little bit of attention. Add a tie of twine around your partner’s boutonniere to coordinate both of your ensembles. As April mentioned in her last post about twine, mason jars and twine pair especially well together and can be perfect for a decor piece or even glasses for the reception tables!
Classy tea cups
As you can see from our style board, we’re not using these tea cups for drinking. Make a trip to the nearest thrift store to find a few vintage tea cups or mugs that match your wedding theme. Thrift stores will often have them super cheap, so you can buy a large amount without going over budget. You may even find a few hidden gems in the Dollar Store – you just have to be willing to keep an eye out! Now this is where the twine comes in: tie it around the handle of the cups and hang them from tree branches all over your ceremony or reception space for a rustic decor idea that you’ve likely never seen before.
Tie up your programs
Bind your wedding programs with a bit of – you guessed it – twine! If you’re on a budget, you can even DIY these. One bride wrote on Inspired Kara that she found twine from the dollar section at Target (I’m tellin ya, that dollar store can be a gold mine). The twine pairs especially well with a neutral-colored program to encompass a natural theme.
Will you be incorporating twine into your wedding day at all? Share your ideas with us, we would love to hear from you!
