While planning a wedding is exciting, let’s be honest, it can be a bit stressful. We understand that you want everything to turn out perfect, but you don’t have to have all the responsibilities on your shoulders. For the health of you and your baby, keeping a low-stress planning process is essential. This could mean hiring a wedding planner or simply relying on friends and family to do all the heavy lifting for you.
Finding the perfect dress
When finding a dress, you’re going to have to keep in mind that your belly will be growing and you must find a dress that is going to suit your body type when you’re closer to your due date. She Knows Pregnancy & Baby suggested taking all of the guesswork out of the equation by searching for gowns with an empire waist. For these dresses, the waistline begins right below your bust and flows down from there. Jenna Fischer’s character, Pam, from the NBC hit show “The Office” rocked a beautiful empire waist gown when she said “I do” to Jim.
Keep comfort in mind
If you know by the end of the night your feet are going to be a bit sore, it’s probably not in your best interest to wear six-inch heels all day. Your top priority needs to be comfort. Select shoes that you can easily walk in for hours and select a gown that breathes easily and allows you to get your groove on without being uncomfortable.
Go photo crazy
This is a very special time in your life (as I’m sure you already know) so you’re going to want to capture every single moment. You may not be the size four you were last year, but that doesn’t mean that you’re not still amazingly gorgeous. Looking back, you’ll be happy you took the opportunity to be in every picture that you could!
While everyone may be toasting with champagne in their glass, you’re going to want to stick with water to stay hydrated for you and your little one. You could even get crazy with a nonalcoholic daiquiri or freshen up your water with a slice of lemon or lime.
