Remember my post last week about style boards? You know, boards filled with inspiration for your big day? Well, we simply can’t get enough of them and we created yet another board for an increasingly popular wedding theme: rustic. This theme is so versatile that picking out the specifics for your nuptials can seem a little overwhelming. Well, no worries here – just take a look at our style board to spark some inspiration for your rustic wedding:

Wedding Invitations
One of the best ways to set the tone of your wedding is with your invitations. It gives your guests a chance to see exactly what they can expect upon arriving: pure natural beauty! In our style board, we have included this Rustic Lace – Invitation with a brown background evoking the bark of a tree with an intricate and delicate white lace-like design running down the side.

Our style board has a few ideas for rustic centerpieces – and you really can’t go wrong with any of them. One of the best ways for your centerpieces to really evoke that natural feel is with cotton. It works beautifully as a stand-alone centerpiece, but when added to florals, greenery or woodsy garnishes, this plant produces a jaw-dropping and truly special centerpiece.

We also love the idea of having wood cutouts on the reception tables. Vases of flowers can be placed on top of them to add to the outdoorsy and natural tone of the nuptials.

Reception decor
Okay, we had to share this unique idea with you guys: To add a touch of vintage wedding flair to your outdoor nuptials, hang some old glass bottles filled with the florals of your choice from tree branches. It’s so simple, yet evokes beauty and sets the tone perfectly.

Once you and your groom to go take a seat at the head table for your big reception, make sure you know which chair belongs to who. Tie banners of burlap to the chair of the bride and groom with white elegant text saying “Mrs. and Mr.” or “Bride and Groom.” Add a beautiful bud to the hanging decor and you will have yourself a rustic wedding element in no time.

That’s right, ladies – even your garter can be rustic! And don’t worry, you won’t have to wear a stick around your thigh to incorporate that natural feel. In our style board, we have included a white cotton garter with a strip of burlap around it, finished off with a tiny, delicate bow and a silver heart. Perfect for an elegant, yet natural look.

What’s your favorite wedding element on our style board? Do you have any other great ideas for rustic nuptials? We would love to hear your thoughts!
