You might know by now that Ms. April has an affinity for peacock feather designs, and really, who could blame her? It continues to astound me that Mother Nature puts colors together like this! While the vibrancy of a peacock feather makes for fabulous wedding accents like with our Petite Peacock Feather Invitation, you are hardly limited to the peacock when it comes to our fine-feathered friends.
I was browsing my favorite Pinterest boards today, and in my opinion, one of the most striking uses of feathers for weddings is in the bride’s hair. Take a look at this feather-dusted up ‘do that I found on Pinterest. The bride used such a subtle incorporation of feathers, but as I’ve told you time and time again, that’s all it takes! It’s those small details that really matter most.
If you happen to fancy the type of feathers used in the brides hairstyle over the bold peacock feather, our Fanciful Feather Champagne Invitation would be absolutely perfect to use to tie the theme throughout. This type of light and airy feather has a somewhat whimsical nature to them, and the champagne coloring for this invitation can give your nuptials that extra magical air.
Another invite that is a personal favorite of mine is our Delicate Feather Layered Invitation. One of the reasons this invite design strikes a chord with me is that I think it is so beautifully put together. In the same way that feathers can add a layered look, the stationery components of this invite is layered as well! Plus, the way the different parts are fitted together is particularly graceful and elegant. It is basically a pocket invitation, with a back card that has a strip of paper designed to fit the main card with all your ceremony and reception information. When all the pieces are brought together, the delicate feather graphic pops out on the left side of the paper strip with the lettering on the right. The pocket strip is then finished off with a glossy satin ribbon to add that extra elegant flair
to the whole package.
