The truth is that your New Year’s Eve wedding can be anything you want it to be! I was just doing a little bit of research and came across an interesting question posed to the wedding experts at The Knot. The bride wanted to know if it was even okay or “proper” to be wed on New Year’s Eve. Well, the answer, of course, was yes! Actually, The Knot said that everyone is looking for a festive activity on New Year’s Eve, and what could be more festive than watching two people get married and celebrating the night away? Plus, a New Year’s wedding also means that you get to annually celebrate your anniversary on January 1 at the stroke of midnight! Talk about putting extra meaning into a celebration!
One idea that I absolutely love for New Year’s weddings is to really glam things up and plan an extra-elegant affair that all your guests will never forget! The best color palette to work with for such an occasion is gold, black and white. I found a post on 100 Layer Cake wedding blog that featured photos from a stunning black, white and gold wedding. The bride shined in white, and her bridesmaids looked like golden goddesses in their floor-length gold gowns. The wedding invitations were delivered in sleek black envelopes with a glittery gold liner waiting for all the guests when they open them. The whole day seemed to be dusted in sparkle and gold, giving the wedding a particularly glamorous and extravagant vibe.
