Rustic Wedding Chic blog recently featured a fantastic, real New Jersey vintage rustic wedding. And what better place to have a vintage rustic occasion than in the Garden State itself? The couple’s big day featured a beautiful blush tone color palette (a personal favorite of mine and particularly popular for spring and summer weddings) and many delicate details such as lace-wrapped mason jars filled with antique buttons.
The bride wore an inspired vintage-style, lace gown and the groom wore a classic black suit and tie combination. The bride’s fantastic peep-toe white heels were dressed up in a retro style with delicate bows on the toe and the groom sported a hip pair of Converse All Star sneakers. They couldn’t have looked more perfect together!
Rustic details were added to the big day through the garden theme, with white and green floral accents and blushing pink roses. The centerpieces used beveled glass vases to hold lush bunches of white hydrangeas and delicate pink blooms.
One of my favorite details from this wedding is the couple’s escort cards. They wrote each guest’s name on cards in old-fashioned print that resembled a typewriter’s keys. The corner of each card was hole-punched and a vintage, sheer ribbon was used to tie antique metal keys to each card.
The only way this wedding could have been made any more of a perfect fusion of vintage and rustic, is if the couple tied the theme through from the beginning with something like our Unlocking Love Invitation. This invitation design features classic vintage details of a lock and key in embossed print on a glistening white shimmer paper. Another great option to pull the two styles together beautifully is our Jar of Hearts Invitation in Aqua. The mason jar graphic on the invitation will draw focus to vintage mason jars you might be using for your reception decor.
