I say, follow the new approach to getting married in Vegas and plan your ceremony out well in advance (drunken night nuptials not necessary!). You can actually plan out a very tasteful ceremony, and the great thing about Vegas is you will never run out of things to do! Additionally, your options for your bachelorette party and bachelor party will be virtually endless, that’s for sure!
We all know the Welcome to Vegas sign well – it’s peppered throughout pop culture and many of you have probably laid eyes on it yourself! This iconic sign is one of the reasons I love our Fabulous Las Vegas Invitation. Using Las Vegas as a theme for your wedding invitations can be a great way to get your guests excited about a destination wedding, and the “Welcome to Las Vegas” graphic is sure to evoke all the mystery that comes with Sin City.
For a destination wedding in Vegas, remember to get your license well ahead of time. While there are many chapels and venues in Vegas that will be able to wed you at any time, day or night, you cannot get a marriage license at any time any more.
When you are picking a place to hold your ceremony, decide if you and your partner are looking for more of a showy or kitschy venue, or if you are looking to have more of a traditional ceremony. For an extravagant ceremony, consider investigating anything and everything on the Strip. The Wynn and Bellagio hotels are luxurious hot spots and there’s even a Catholic cathedral on the Strip.
Also, remember to keep holidays and the weather in mind while you are selecting your wedding date. It can get awfully hot in Vegas during the summer months, and venues will tend to fill up for holidays such as Valentine’s Day.
