There’s really something romantic about saying “I do!” as snow falls gently to the ground around you. Even if you have to be tucked indoors to avoid getting frostbite, if you pick a venue with plenty of windows, the winter wonderland atmosphere is sure to peek through!
And even if your wedding is indoors, I love the idea of taking the bridal party outdoors to take your pictures in fresh snow, with tall evergreens in the background and icicles hanging off their stretching limbs (and if you’re lucky enough, maybe it’ll even be snowing for your pictures!). It has a certain magical element to it, that’s for sure! Imagine how cute your partner will look with fresh snowflakes peppered in his or her hair!
You can really do a lot of unique things with a winter wedding. You can choose winter wedding invitations that give subtle hints of the snowy landscape that awaits all your guests. You can even use toasting flutes that are perfectly winter themed with a snowflake design.
I found a handful of perfect winter wedding ideas at Martha Stewart Weddings, and one of my favorites include using eggnog in your featured cocktails during your cocktail hour. That just sounds like the perfect way to warm your guests up! The DIY queen offered up another splendid idea for keeping your guests warm with her suggestion to serve up cups of herbal tea after your vows.
