Many of today’s couple plan their own weddings and rely on wedding planning websites to make the process easier. A good site for wedding planning should have a planning checklist, budget tool, guest list manager/seating chart tool, wedding websites, wedding registry and some kind of inspiration board to gather photos and ideas. Our three favorite wedding planning websites have all of these tools plus a few bonus features. Here’s a quick rundown of each.
We must admit, Wedding Wire is our favorite! All three wedding planning websites have a lot to offer but wedding wire has the cleanest, most modern design which makes everything just a tad bit easier to navigate. We love that Wedding Wire has a Wedding Songs tool for finding your favorite tunes to play at the ceremony and dance. Plus, you’ll find a few wedding planning apps that will be very helpful during your planning process if you’re an app-savvy couple.
The Knot really can’t be topped when it comes to content and inspiration. They even added a new feature, a color bar, in the upper left corner of the site. All you have to do is pick your color and tons of photo inspiration appears. The Knot has also embraced the idea of the online stationery trend by adding a selection of email save the dates. We believe paper save the dates are the best way to go but there is no denying the demand for more and more online stationery options.
The Wedding Channel
Although a little dated in its look and design, the Wedding Channel also has some great content and very helpful wedding planning tools. They now have a Virtual Hair Makeover tool to help you decide which hairstyle will look best for your special day. The Smartsheet event planning tool is a great way to organize all the details of your wedding. Be sure to check it out. And we can’t help but love the name of their wedding websites service, NearlyWeds.com!
