But…what in the world do you say on your save the date cards? Invitations by Dawn knows all the ins and outs of save the date wording, and (lucky you) we’re spilling it all here!

Your save the date cards MUST have this information:

  • your names
  • the wedding date
  • a mention that a formal invitation will follow

You can also include this in your save the date wording:

  • the wedding location (this is actually a MUST if you’re having a destination wedding)
  • a fun line of welcome wording if it’s not included in the save the date design
  • an engagement shot on a photo save the date
  • your (or your Mom’s or the host’s) phone number or email if anyone has questions
  • a link to your wedding website for more information
