DESCRIPTION

Give your loved ones a taste of what's in store with this save-the-date card featuring a drink umbrella and an inviting beach chair design. The textured card is pre-punched with holes for inserting the umbrella; assembly required. Your names, destination and wedding date are printed in the format shown. The design and all wording are printed in the same ink color. Umbrellas in an assortment of colors are included.

These came out so cute and we were so excited, but they did not survive the post office. After lengthy conversation with supervisor at post office, the umbrella is the problem. Nothing that thick, long and pointy is going to survive the sorting machines, even if they get hand canceled, which mine did not. If you want to mail these, a specialty envelope, heavier than what we ordered from this site and maybe even a padded one, would be necessary and the cost might not be worth it.
Our recipients were so upset, many didn't want to tell us, but after the first one told me, I started asking. No one I spoke to received an unbroken umbrella...at least half our people.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      I have had sooo many great compliments on these save the date cards but the most disappointing thing is that most of the umbrellas were broken by the time they were delivered. Great idea but they don't hold up well to the abuse of the postal sorting machines I guess. I would say out of the 10 conversations I have had about them 8 were broken, people were actually sad!!

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
